한영 혼용, handled like normal speech
Korean professional speech borrows English constantly — spec, review, deadline, standup. Dictation tools that expect pure Korean stumble exactly there. Alder treats mixed speech as the normal case: the English words in your Korean sentences stay English, in Latin letters, instead of being forced into hangul or dropped entirely.
Korean is one of Alder’s 100 language routes, running on an on-device engine with published Korean support. We are honest about where each language stands: Korean does not yet have its own Alder benchmark corpus the way Chinese, Spanish, and German do — it is on the measured path as our per-language test sets grow. What ships today is the same pipeline every other language gets: local recognition, optional cleanup, translation, and safe delivery.
Your words, cleaned or exact — 선택은 당신의 몫
With cleanup on, 음… 그… 저기… disappear and repeated words collapse, leaving the sentence you meant — nothing rewritten, meaning untouched. With cleanup off, Alder types every word exactly as you spoke it. It’s one switch on the capsule, and you can flip it whenever the situation changes.
Between Korean and English, on the device
Alder translates locally: dictate in 한국어 and send finished English, or speak English and type Korean — whichever direction the message needs. No cloud round-trip, no separate app. Leave it on “Same as Spoken” and translation stays completely out of the way.
No silent failures, ever
If a Bluetooth headset connects but never delivers audio, Alder tells you — it will not type nothing and call it success. If a recording is interrupted, the audio survives and is offered back on the next launch. If an app blocks text insertion, your result stays on the result card, ready to paste. 말한 내용은 사라지지 않습니다.
And privacy is structural: recognition, cleanup, and translation run on your Mac. 음성은 업로드되지 않습니다.
자주 묻는 질문 · FAQ
- Does Alder support Korean mixed with English? 한영 혼용도 되나요? Yes — "이번 spec은 다음 주에 review할게요" keeps "spec" and "review" as English words inside the Korean sentence. Mixed speech is treated as a normal way of speaking, not an error.
- Does Korean dictation work offline? 오프라인에서도 작동하나요? Yes, after the one-time model download. Recognition, cleanup, and translation all run on the Mac itself — 받아쓰기 audio is never uploaded.
- Can it translate between Korean and English? 한영 번역도 되나요? Yes — set the output language and Alder types the translation at your cursor, on-device. Speak 한국어 and send English, or the other way around. "Same as Spoken" keeps translation off.
Alder is built the same way for every language it supports — Chinese dictation · 中文听写, Japanese dictation · 日本語音声入力, German dictation · Diktieren auf Deutsch and Spanish dictation · Dictado en español run on the same on-device pipeline.
